Why does it say my eSIM is not supported or not compatible?

This error usually means either:

  • Your phone is carrier locked, or
  • Your phone is not eSIM-compatible.



How to check if your phone supports eSIM

  1. Dial *#06# on your phone.
  2. If your device supports eSIMs, you will see an EID number displayed.
  3. If no EID is shown, your device does not support eSIMs.



How to check if your phone is unlocked

  1. Go to Settings > General > About.
  2. Scroll down to Carrier Lock.
  3. An unlocked phone will say: “No SIM restrictions.”


If your phone is locked, you will need to contact your carrier to unlock it before you can use the Instabridge eSIM.
